Bingo with numbers

We played Bingo game about numbers with the 3rd grades. So they had to listen and recognize the numbers from 1 to 20 in English. It was great.

Classroom objects

We played Bingo abour classroom objects, and had a lot of fun. Oh, my dear student, she cried of happiness when she won the game :)

The 23th of April

The 23th of April is really a special day for Children in Turkey. It it the present for them from Atatürk. And we made a very special collaborative work, our students read a poem about the 23th of April in English. Hope you like it.

Plotagon

Plotagon is a tool where you can create your avatar and make them talk. Students like this tool a lot because at the same time they are creating an animation. See an example of it for the 4th grade "My hobby" unit

Puzzel.org

We used puzzel.org web 2.0 for nationalities. Here you can find memory cards and the students have to match them. This is a great listening and memorizing activity for every language learner.

Tiny Cards

then we used tiny cards web 2.0. It is so cute. Students liked it most of all. It helps to memorize the new words  and their spelling quickly.

Learning apps

We also used learning apps activities for many times. This web 2.0 hs a great variety of activities and they support your language classroom. Students feel like they are just playing the game, but actually they unconsiously learn new words.

Plickers

We used Plickers web 2.0 tool for all units we have issued before the project started. I found this tool very useful for making an evaluation of the students knowledge and for consolidation of  the materials they've learned earlier. It is a kind of elecronic test, where the teacher prepares the questions and the students answer them using cards. My students found Plickers very interesting, they thought it was a kind of game. For me, the advantage of this web 2.0 is that you don't have to control the papers of the students by yourself, the system does for you and the students learn the results of the tests immediately. In order to use plickers you need a smart board to show the questions for students and the phone application to scan the cards.

Webinars

then we had our first webinar and planned the activities and shared ideas about them. We had all in all 6 webinars. and we really enjoyed working together. we are more than just project partners, we became friends to each other. I wish this project last forever :)

My students and I prepared a poster about our school participating in this project. we used postermywall web 2.0 tol for it.

The introduction of partner schools

Well, the first thing we got to do was to introduce our school to other partners of the project and get acquainted to them. you can see it on the following PADLET.

Let's get acquainted

Welcome to my project learning diary. My name is Alyona. I am an English teacher at Kepez Primary school. Together with my students I participate in "My first English with plays" eTwinning project this year.
